he meeting was held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 15:00 in classroom AS106, under the chairmanship of Acting Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Kasım Mümimoğlu. The meeting was attended by Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Abdullah Aydın and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Alanoğlu, as well as department chairs and vice chairs, and departmental quality coordinators.
At the opening of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mümimoğlu emphasized the importance of maintaining the academic and administrative activities carried out within the faculty with a quality-oriented approach. In this context, he highlighted the necessity of conducting activities that will contribute to the institutional development of the faculty in a coordinated manner.
Under the first agenda item, the quality activities for the year 2026 were discussed. Evaluations were made regarding the quality improvement activities to be carried out at both faculty and departmental levels, the planned reporting processes, and the work that needs to be conducted within the scope of the quality assurance system. In addition, participants’ opinions and suggestions were received on possible initiatives aimed at disseminating a quality culture across all academic and administrative units.
The second agenda item focused on the accreditation processes of the departments. The current practices followed during accreditation processes, the preparation stages of the departments, and the issues encountered during these processes were discussed. An exchange of views took place regarding the systematic execution of accreditation studies, the preparation of the required documentation, and the regular monitoring of the processes. Furthermore, the contribution of accreditation to improving the quality of education and the importance of interdepartmental coordination during this process were emphasized.
Under the final agenda item, the midterm examination schedules for the Spring Semester of 2026 were evaluated. Issues related to the planning of the examination calendar, the effective use of classrooms, and the orderly conduct of examination processes were discussed. In this context, the importance of departments acting in coordination to ensure the smooth organization of the examinations was emphasized.
The meeting concluded after the agenda items were discussed in detail and the opinions and suggestions of the participants were received.
