DEAN'S MESSAGE

Welcome to Muş Alparslan University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences!

Our Faculty of Arts and Sciences is one of the first three faculties established within our university in 2007. It offers education in 12 departments: Philosophy, Psychology, English Language and Literature, Eastern Languages ​​and Literature, Sociology, History, Turkish Language and Literature, Kurdish Language and Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Molecular Biology, and Genetics. Our faculty hosts 1,786 undergraduate students and nearly 300 graduate students. It also stands out with its master's and doctoral programs, staffed by well-equipped and competent staff. Our faculty serves our students with 106 faculty members and 7 administrative staff. Our faculty and its qualified academic staff aim to cultivate individuals who understand the needs of the times, are multifaceted thinkers, inquisitive, productive, socially responsible, and open to innovation. They also aim to contribute to the cultural and academic development of our country by generating high-quality knowledge at an international level, grounded in critical thinking and a scientific approach. One of the strategic aspects of our faculty's innovative activities is its innovation policy. The fundamental objectives of this policy are to provide international experience in training qualified scientists with a research spirit, to exchange experiences, to create opportunities for academic mobility among faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students, and to expand scientific ties. The faculty provides the necessary conditions for every student to receive a high-quality education and realize their creative potential. Our students actively participate in annual student conferences and forums, sports competitions, and various competitions. Research activities are conducted within the extensive facilities of research workshops and laboratories. Students have the opportunity to study at European universities, particularly within the framework of Erasmus and other academic mobility programs during their studies. Furthermore, our faculty students can actively participate in the Farabi program, a domestic student mobility program. Furthermore, with our university's participation in the 2025 Orhun Student Exchange Program, we have the opportunity to benefit from student and faculty exchanges in accordance with the protocols established among members of the Turkic Council Union of Turkish Universities. Our faculty faculty utilize innovative teaching methods and information technologies that support the development of creative talents and the development of professional competencies. Muş Alparslan University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences stands out with its educational approach, which creates a unique learning environment for each student and ensures that our graduates are successful in both professional and academic life. Our graduates are truly the best measure of the priorities we have set for achieving high success in science, education, and social activities.
