A scientific research project prepared by Dr. Kenan Alparslan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at our Faculty, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 3501 – Career Development Program. The project, titled “Exploring the Role of the Sufi Self-Construal in Alleviating Death Anxiety and Promoting Well-Being: An Investigation Using Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches,” is planned to run for 18 months and has been granted a budget of 700,000 TL by TÜBİTAK.
The interdisciplinary project is led by Dr. Kenan Alparslan, while Prof. Dr. M. Ersin Kuşdil from Bursa Uludağ University serves as the project advisor. The research team includes Dr. Mehmet Karasu from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and Dr. Güldest Baş from Mardin Artuklu University as researchers. Sercan Karlıdağ, Research Assistant at Altınbaş University, is involved in the project as a scholarship holder (research fellow).
With its broad academic collaboration, the project aims to contribute to the understanding of how Sufi self-construal may help alleviate death anxiety and support individual well-being through both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
