The Futsal Tournament organized by our faculty continues with highly competitive matches. The tournament, which has attracted significant attention from students, brings different departments together in an exciting sporting atmosphere.
The opening match of the tournament, held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selçuk Sağır, University Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salih Gülen, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science and Letters Prof. Dr. Kasım Müminoğlu, as well as vice deans Prof. Dr. Abdullah Aydın and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Alanoğlu.
In the matches played on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the Mathematics Department faced the English Language and Literature Department between 5:00 p.m. and 5:50 p.m., with the match ending in a draw. In the second match of the day, held between 6:00 p.m. and 6:50 p.m., the Turkish Language and Literature Department competed against the Kurdish Language and Literature Department. The Kurdish Language and Literature Department won the match.
On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the History Department faced the English Language and Literature Department between 5:00 p.m. and 5:50 p.m., with the History Department securing the victory. In the second match of the day, played between 6:00 p.m. and 6:50 p.m., the Turkish Language and Literature Department competed against the Psychology Department and emerged victorious.
As part of the tournament schedule, today’s matches will feature the History and Mathematics departments between 5:00 p.m. and 5:50 p.m., followed by the Kurdish Language and Literature and Psychology departments between 6:00 p.m. and 6:50 p.m.
The tournament continues to attract strong interest from faculty students and is expected to feature many more exciting matches in the coming days.
