Our faculty member from the Department of Philosophy, Dr. Nefise Barak Abat, has achieved a remarkable success with the research project she submitted under the TÜBİTAK 2219 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program.
The project titled “Research on Sexual Selection in the History of Science,” planned to be conducted in the first term of 2025, has been awarded support by TÜBİTAK. Within the scope of this project, Dr. Barak Abat will carry out her research in Sweden for a duration of 12 months.
In her research, Dr. Barak Abat aims to examine the evolutionary and social dimensions of the concept of sexual selection in the history of science, evaluating the societal impact of scientific theories from a historical perspective.
