The Faculty of Arts and Sciences held a comprehensive evaluation meeting with the aim of enhancing the quality of education and instruction, making academic operations more effective and efficient, and strengthening the institutional quality culture.
The meeting, chaired by Acting Dean Prof. Dr. Kasım Müminoğlu, was held on December 22, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Dean’s Meeting Hall. Faculty administration members, department heads, and academic staff attended the meeting.
The main agenda items of the meeting included Integrated Master’s Programs, the current status of data entries in the MAUN Quality Management System (QMS), planning of the courses to be offered, and wishes and recommendations. Within the scope of the Integrated Master’s Programs, existing practices were evaluated comprehensively, and opinions and suggestions were discussed regarding the more effective implementation of these programs in terms of sustainability, contribution to student success, and academic staff planning.
Regarding MAUN QMS data entries, attention was drawn to the importance of regular, complete, and accurate data entry in academic and administrative processes for institutional quality assurance. In this context, it was emphasized that inter-unit coordination should be strengthened and awareness increased in order to ensure healthier execution of quality processes.
Under the heading of courses to be offered, planning for the new academic period was discussed by taking into account teaching loads, program alignment, and student needs. In addition, evaluations were made on updating course contents, increasing the number of applied courses, and strengthening a student-centered education approach.
Following the evaluations, the meeting concluded with mutual exchange of views and goodwill wishes. The faculty administration thanked all academic staff who contributed to the meeting and stated that work would continue in cooperation and solidarity in line with common goals.
