“Post-Disaster Psychosocial Support Training” by Muş Alparslan University and the Yan Yanayız Project
In collaboration with the Department of Psychology at Muş Alparslan University and the Yan Yanayız Project, the “Post-Disaster Psychosocial Support Training Series” was organized online on 3 December 2025.
The program aimed to strengthen the psychological resilience of individuals affected by disasters and field workers, normalize traumatic responses, and ensure the flow of accurate information.
The event featured Specialist Psychologists Pelin Kızgındemir Karataş, Miray Bozburun Bulkay, Şükran Bahçel, and Research Assistant Yeşim Dersuneli as speakers, covering the following topics:
Psychological First Aid in Disaster and Crisis Situations
Grief and Loss Process After a Disaster
Post-Traumatic Growth
During the training, it was emphasized that the responses exhibited after a disaster are natural, and expert guidance was provided on how to manage this process effectively.
