“Thinking Together on the Limits of Remembering and Forgetting in the Context of the Film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”
As part of the Department of Philosophy fall semester seminars, a presentation titled “Thinking Together on the Limits of Remembering and Forgetting in the Context of the Film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit KARTAL on 26 November 2025 at 11:00 in Room AS102.
Throughout the presentation, Kartal discussed the concepts of memory, remembering, forgetting, and recollection through the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, tracing their philosophical dimensions and, together with film analysis, offering a new way of thinking as an introduction to philosophy.
At the end of the seminar, Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Kasım Müminoğlu, who attended the event, presented Kartal with a certificate of appreciation.
