Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurcan Ankay Kardaş, a faculty member of Turkish Language and Literature, edited the first student magazine of the International University of Sarajevo, IUS Edebiyat.
Ankay Kardaş, who worked as a lecturer in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Teaching at the Faculty of Education of the International University of Sarajevo in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, under the Ministry of National Education last academic year, prepared the magazine called IUS Edebiyat with Bosnian-Herzegovinian students by editing it during her tenure. The magazine was introduced at the Yunus Emre Institute in Sarajevo.
The introduction was attended by the Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, Founding Foundation Board Chairman Hasan Topaloğlu, Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasir Göz, Sarajevo Yunus Emre Institute Director Mehmet Akif Yaman, Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz, Dean of the Faculty of Education Assoc. Prof. Dr. Almasa Mulalić, Head of the Turkish Language and Literature Department Dr. Dženana Bračković, academicians, students and guests attended. The magazine founder Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ankay Kardaş, who made a speech by connecting to the launch online, stated that IUS Literature emerged with the efforts of its students, that he was happy to prepare magazine content in a foreign language with this effort and that he hoped that the magazine would continue. The magazine includes stories, tales, compilations, essays, poems, literary news, poems translated from Turkish to Bosnian and from Bosnian to Turkish.
