An important seminar was organized by our Faculty’s Department of History to contribute to foreign language learning processes in the digital age.
The seminar was held on April 14, 2026, at 13:30 in the Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar (AS106) classroom of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The speaker of the event was the Head of the Department of History, Prof. Dr. Celal Öney.
During the seminar, History students were informed about how to effectively benefit from digital resources while learning a foreign language. Emphasizing the opportunities offered by digitalization, Prof. Dr. Öney highlighted that various social media platforms, especially YouTube, have become important tools in language learning. Students were provided with information on how to improve their listening, speaking, and vocabulary skills through the conscious use of digital content.
The seminar was organized by the Muş Alparslan University History Research Society. At the end of the program, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Prof. Dr. Celal Öney by the society’s advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yegane Çağlayan, in recognition of his contributions.
The event attracted great interest from students and raised important awareness about the role of digital resources in both academic and personal development.
