Asst. Assoc. Dr. Mahmut Akar, faculty member of the Department of English Language and Literature, was deemed worthy of the Best Article award with his work titled "Portrait of an Artist: A Psychoanalytic Study of Thomas Wolfe", which he sent to the AHCI-indexed Thomas Wolfe Review published in America. The first prize of 500 dollars was presented to him.

Asst. Assoc. Dr. Servet Şengül was deemed worthy of the literary criticism award by the Writers Union of Turkey (TYB).
